I never choose tracks for a set exclusively by artist names, labels, ect I always choose based on how they sound and sometimes when I am finished the final mix I realise I might have neglected one label, or ‘overplayed’ another, but I will never change. I think its a good philosophy for any artist, producer or creative person to have. Design your art through the enjoyment of doing it and not dependant on expectations of others.
